This is a complete unit for the taught element of the EPQ. It consists of 6 lessons:
1 - Introduction
2 - Planning
3 - Research
4 - Evaluation
5 - Outcomes
6 - Project Presentations
Each session has a PowerPoint and/or Video and there is a workbook to support students.
This booklet take students through how to organise and prioritise their independent study at A Level as well as strategies for continuous study throughout thier A Level course so that they can keep control of their workload and time. The booklet uses the spaced study system which is a flexible system that breaks down independent study into managable 30-45 minute chunks (excluding lesson) and provides worksheets and suggestions of activities students can use to support their learning and revision.
Two booklets to support mentoring 6th form students on a weekly basis. Each week they are asked to reflect on their successes, Their struggles and what they are going to do about them, and their learning.
The booklet also gets the students to think about their long term, medium term and short term goals.
As a tutor you can look through and see if any issues are arising and get ahead of them.

This reflection and wellbeing Sheets are a way for you to reflect on what is happening in your life and your academic progress as we go through the year. At the end of the year you can look back to see your successes and challenges you have overcome.

Let your Mind Wander
These are about self-reflection and your wellbeing. They are not a test, but questions to get you thinking about yourself and reflect on where you are, and where you are going. Some of the question will reoccur as the year goes on. It is okay to have the same answers just as it is okay to change them.
In this Scheme of Learning you will be looking at the concept of consent, what it means and what it doesn’t under UK law. You will look at various types of intimate relationships and discuss what needs to be considered before you become intimate with someone. You will go through different forms of contraception and evaluate them as well as consider the questions that need to be asked before people choose to become parents.
The scheme of Learning includes Student workbook (PDF and Editable PPT), teachers notes, PowerPoints and all resources.
